造形作家／Artist
粘土による器のほか、水引を使った立体造形をつくる。
器とは有形無形のものを湛える（たたえる）ことで、
ものの変化や潜在的な物語を捉えることができる道具になると考えている。したがって食器などにとどまらず、
さまざまなもの（ときには家屋や人の内面）のなかに器を見出す。自作の磁器を使ったパフォーマンスは、
道具と環境の相互作用により、参加者が自身の内なる器の存在に気づく機会になっている。
自作の器で食事を提供することで街中にさまざまな関係性と物語をうむスペース「ひととき」を主宰。
器の可能性を追求し続ける作家。

Kaoru Takagi / Artist
Kaoru Takagi is a sculptor and an immersive conceptual performance artist.
Kaoru Takagi creates sculptures and pottery with clay.
She believes that plates, both physically and symbolically,
are used to give and
receive subtle yet powerful, personal feelings. Also, with such intangible
offerings as love,
plates come to have the power to change
the space and time around them. Applying this belief also to her performance art,
Kaoru Takagi lately has been working on an immersive performance piece by
creating time and space where audience members are encouraged to use
Kaoru Takagi ’s previous material works to create something new,
making the audience an important process of creation.

I launched a brand of ceramic known as "Wo shi Ribenren" as well as continued
my three-dimensional artwork.

I completed B-Semi.

I became a pupil of the ceramic artist Hiromi Itabashi.
Under the tutelage of Hiromi Itabashi I exhibited three-dimensional objects by using clay,
cloth and food as material.
